I've never had a tub like this before, and it's a luxury I don't take advantage of often enough. And even though while I'm in it, I enjoy it, I don't enjoy baths all that much as a general rule. I can only sit idle and soak for about 10 or 15 minutes before I'm bored and have to get up and get out.

Everything is green most of the time here, but spring is when the greens get freakishly green. Amazingly green. Bright, vibrant, make-your-eyes-pop green. Like now.

I'm a make-up girl, even though I don't wear a lot of it. I like to play around with it, and I actually have quite a bit, but laziness wins out over the urge to paint most days.

I love this mirror - it's my favorite prop. I love the light in my bathroom, it's my favorite room in the house to shoot in.

Now I just need to get organized enough to use the backdrop to block out the shower.

I got this whip for my former office-mate Arlene for Christmas last year. She had just changed jobs, and part of her new gig is to ride herd on all of the miscreants in the IT department here. I decided that she needed a whip to crack in her new position, so I got her one. She let me borrow it so I could posse up.

WirlyBall, for the record, is more fun than I had anticipated. If you play with people who are like-minded, then it's reaaallly fun because you KICK ASS.

Bruce's birthday party was Saturday, and it was a blast. I finally got to meet Kevin, who now officially doesn't hate me. After the jeans incident, it was looking not-good for me, but I'm way better in person than as an abstract concept, so I won him over.

Dinner with Ron & Jen tonight.

We always have so much fun with them, I'm sad we don't get together more often. We originally had planned to go to an Italian restaurant that they like, but with the snow and all the idiot drivers in this town, we decided to stick closer to home. Translation: Dinner at Grazie. My feelings were not hurt.

I originally had visions of doing a high shot of me sort of curled up, then cloning and flipping it, and superimposing it over the yin/yang symbol, but I'm lazy and didn't do it.

I lost a bet this morning. I don't think I've ever enjoyed losing so much.

Today is full of things I have to do, and not much that I want to do. I'm going to the dentist after work, which has me all uptight. I think I need a valium. I'm not having any work done, just a cleaning, but the smell of the office, and the scraping noises make me almost come out of my skin.

Zero creativity here - I think I used it all up last night.

My VB game isn't until 10pm, which sucks big, dirty rocks. I won't be home until 11:30 probably. After a shower and wind-down, it'll be well after midnite before I crawl into bed. I think I'm sleeping in tomorrow.

The group roulette infiltration was for a group called "half a face is better than a whole one". I had this idea on the way home, while I was wishing I had someone to chat with. I didn't leave work until after 6, and Carol had left at 5, so I rode home alone.

I really like the way this one turned out, with a couple of exceptions. The first go-round, my trusty assistant sort of missed the boat on the idea, and ended up zooming in too close, and cutting off the top of my head, and the bottom of the mirror. When we went round again, he neglected to tell me that my white-trash bra/cami straps were so awful looking. Oh well.. that's what I get for giving up setup control. It was getting late, and I didn't want to keep the girls up any longer. I should learn a lesson from this, but the lazy will win again, I'm sure.

So, I went for a walk this morning, with an idea in mind. As it turned out, I should have listened to my instinct that told me to grab the extra battery before I left, but I didn't. I got exactly 5 shots before the battery was exhausted. This was #4. It started out being a full body shot, but I liked it cropped so you can't see my fat ass - or the fact that I hadn't done anything with my hair for 2 days except throw it in a ponytail.

Work, work, work. This expresses how I feel about work today.

I didn't get home until after 8pm, and I'm tired and ready for bed already. I've decided to keep with the early schedule, but to alter it by going to bed earlier instead of my normal time. I'm missing that extra hour something fierce this week.

Even as I type this, the fact that I can hear them watching American Idol is bugging me. I want to open the door and yell at them all to shut the hell up.

I don't want to know me tonight.

A quickie from my desk, with the pen Laurie Lock gave me about 100 years ago.

Crazy, crazy, crazy day at work. I think someone might have been playing an April Fool's prank on me, because the strangest thing kept happening in my application. I couldn't figure it out, and as soon as I brought it up to someone else, it stopped happening. I can't figure out how in holy hell it could be accomplished, but someone with some mad SQL skills could probably have pulled it off. That narrows it down to 3 possible suspects in my office, one of whom is on vacation until tomorrow, so that leaves 2. I suspect it might have been Bruce, but he'd never confess, because that would mean that he couldn't use the trick again. And he's all about mileage with those sorts of things.
